creating...

things i love about tradeshows

  1. meeting those friends i have met online
  2. showing off our new things to people who "get it"
  3. just doing what i love
  4. actually creating stuff for the show (otherwise i don't really have a lot of time to scrap) including this:

things i don't like about tradeshows

  1. the feeling that "what if people don't like our stuff"
  2. the hours (8 am - 6 pm plus prep work for the next day plus set up and take down and oh yeah mr noah and mr jonathan need some TLC after that much time in the day away from their mommies)
  3. the $3 waters they sell at the tradeshows
  4. doing all of the accounting for the tradeshows - so for that, we are trying to train noah to be the next MR CFO / bean counter - check this out:

other things i hate are blatant copy cats but i am too mad about that right now to post a long post about it - don't worry i will post about that soon. for right now all i have to say is if yOu aren'T Creative enough to come up with your own books and have to copy our coffee break book down to the number of pages and the size - well what the heck are you doing in the sbing biz? and don't think i don't see the other stuff you have copied from us either.

(end negative mini rank)

but for those who support us, thank you - we appreciate it and will continue to make cool stuff! i will post the RAK winner tomorrow for visiting the DT blog.

Hey Caroline, have fun at the tradeshow. I'm sure they are alot of work but I am happy you go to them because that means we are going to get even more way cool MR product woohoo!! Noah looks so cute and would make a great bookkeeper! Sorry to hear that someone is copying your guys's stuff...that sucks! Thanks for all your hard work and bringing MR product to us scrappers.

I love your "heart" and the pic of Noah with the pig. DD has one too and loves it.

Sorry about the copycat - One of the downsides to success. But of course your stuff rocks and you have so many new ideas each year so they will have a hard time keeping up.

Have a great time at the show.

3 things - First off, the pic with little noah's "piggies" made me giggle --those are some uber cute toes!

Next, don't spend one minute worrying about if people will like it--they will love it; they will "get it". "IT" rocks--as always.

3rdly-Imitation is the highest form of flattery (sp?) right? MR was first out of the gate and that will never be forgotten.

You have a huge fan base--HUGE. They can't copy that!

I totally agree with everything Patti! I crave your product here in NS, it is so hard to come by and love being able to order it online!
Cannot wait for the new products to come out, so far everything I have seen is so awesome.

I was *copied* by others, but please know that people notice...you were the first and people know that! Also, who can beat a MR price point..you will always have that.

Then there is you and Deb, the best darn sales ladies ever, you can't beat your company policy and that alone with outrank any company out there!

Keep up the good work. I know that despite the flattery it's still a piss off! Just take comfort in know that people notice who dunnit first!
