a contest and a RAK!
i had meant to do this before i left for asia but time caught the better end of me. my DH and his sister patti took me up on a challenge when we were in portland - who can take the best picture. i told them both i would post on my blog a picture from the both of them and let you all help me out by voting. i won't tell you who took which picture or with what types of cameras...
here were the rules for them - 1 picture, no digital altering. and if you are so kind as to help me by voting on one, i have in my hand a set of our hot new chipboard which are shipping out this week to stores! i will RAK one of the ppl who participates in this voting. all you have to do is to post to my blog before THIS saturday at noon central time. and then email me to tell me you voted (so i can contact you if you are the winner of the RAK).

Both are good pictures, like the red leaf in photo one, like the angle/perspective of photo two.
My vote goes to photo two.
whoa nellie! looooooooooove photo #2. such depth. makes me want to step right into the landscaping.
My vote goes to Photo#1 its beautiful!! The composition is wonderful and the lighting is perfect!! I LOVE IT!!
I vote for photo #2. I just love the angle and the colors - bright blue sky, gorgeous red flowers and the contrast of the lamp post. Very cool!!

I love photo number 2. Although both are great. I think photo 2 has better colour and lighting. I love the perspective of the shot.

i like number 2. the perspective is very cool, and i like the contrast of the organic (vines/flowers) against the non-organic (lightpost)
#1 is beautiful. Something about a single red leaf surrounded by all the others is beautiful.
I love them both but I really love #1.

ooh, tough call, but i'm going with photo #1. i was drawn to it. love the green, the solitary red leaf and the light behind it all.

I do believe that i shall vote for Photo Numero Uno. I feel as though I can relate to the single red leaf among a plethora of green ones. It speaks to my inner soul and makes me happy and sad all in one swooping wave of emotion. Incredible!!! Photo number 2 is also an excellent photo that has such incredible intensity that it makes you want to cry due to it's beauty. An excellent photo that just makes you want to be there. Kuddos to both contestants...I love you both.
I vote for photo 1. I like the dark lines of the tree vines set against the colors of the leaves. ANd I like the focal point of the one different leaf in the middle. They are both really nice, but I'm voting for #1. What a fun RAK, and way to get your family involved!!!
I have no idea what an RAK is, but I totally vote for Patti's photo (photo #1). And not just because she is currently standing over me in my office, making me type this.
