happy NSD (and cinco de mayo)

man what a DAY!

noah and i started off our day with a run. i like to get out and just get my thoughts in order before i do classes and running helps me do that. we enjoyed a bit of dodging the rain by the time we got home.

i got the chance to teach a class of 40 wonderful ladies celebrating NSD at the Scrapbook Pad! that is a beautiful store and i got the chance to hang out and show them all some cool things to do with our journey tins! lisa was so kind to help me with my class. we had such a wonderful time.

halfway through my class, baby noah came by to say hello and he brought with him his cousin - jonathan - and deb and david! deb and her family are headed east to see all of jonathan's grandparents for a bit and take a bit of rest. they stopped in dallas to stretch their legs. jonathan had never been to our house before so guess what he and noah decided they wanted to play with:

i can already imagine in a couple of years they will replace the hangers with some trucks and cars and zoom them around the house - LOL!

and of course to celebrate this day, here is a RAK (with about $25 worth of goodies here) - from some of my favorite MR goodies (coaster albums, ribbons, rubons and sheers to some other cute things that always seem to find their way onto my LOs). how do you win?

easy - this one requires only 2 things -no layouts to do, no things to sort or purge. here are the 2 things i want to see (and you have til this TUESDAY to do so).

1. post here and tell me you want this stuff.

2. do something nice for someone - it can be as SIMPLE as emailing someone a thank you for something they did or paying the toll for the person behind you, sending out a RAK or just writing a letter to someone who means something to you. it is anything. just something. i will assume that if you post here that you want this stuff, you will be doing that nice something for someone.

and that is it!

have a great rest of the weekend and i will post again soon. i still need to nurse my soccer injury before my game tomorrow!

I have just started on scrapbooking and really love your products! But they just keep flying off the shelves before I can get to them!

I am sharing my stash with my best friend who cannot afford this hobby so she can scrap and keep memories of her baby who is coming into this world in a few months time!

Would love to win more of your products! Went scrapbook store hopping yesterday for NSD with my friend (Tracey) who also left a message here today. Sadly, at the end of this month she is moving away and I'm loosing a great cropping and shopping friend! We'll stay in touch but won't be the same without her a few minutes down the road. I'll miss you!

I'd love to have that fun stuff!
Today I told a friend who's having breast cancer surgery this week that I'd put together the memory project that all 4th grade parents have to do for her. I'm happy to do it and she was very appreciative.

Oohh yea! Yes, I'd love a shot at a MR RAK. Put me in the running! As for doing something kind... I used NSD to make a couple cards. One for a truly gentle and kind woman who I used to work with. It's been a while since we've been in touch and I want to let her know I'm thinking of her. The other is card/goodie RAK for a fellow consult. who is going through a difficult time and I'd like to send a little ray of sunshine and blessings her way.
THANKS for this RAK opportunity!

What cute boys! Isn't it fun out the most insignificant thing to us - a hanger - is a world of fascination for a wee one?

I'd love the RAK too. If I don't yell at my kids about the mess in the house does that count as being nice *grin*

My RAK: I am working on minialbums to send to grandparents (they are in canada/europe, we're in CA). My 2 boys are under the age of four, and don't see grandparents much. These albums will contain pic's of all the kids and grandkids. I'm hoping they will love it. And yes, I'm using a MR 4x4 binder album :)

Thank you for doing this RAK.

Okay, you lit a wild fire in me!!! I already posted but I just want to say that after giving the card to the cub scouts leader, I ended up getting 5 more thank you/appreciation cards out! And it's teacher appreciation week so I have something planned for my son's teacher every day of the week. AND this morning I took 2 dozen donuts and a pretty homemade card to the teachers lounge for them all to enjoy. I'm not posting this for bonus points or a pat on the back... I'm just saying, it felt SO GOOD to do all those things that you always have good intentions of doing. I wanted to THANK YOU, Caroline for encouraging me to do it!!! Next I'm getting ready to clean out my scrap room and RAK some of my stuff on a few mb that I'm apart of. Need to make room for more goodies!:)

I found you! I love the website and your blog. I e-mailed someone who I know. but do not know well. I wanted to thank her for all her help the other day and how much I appreciated her direction and organization. I love that you are encouraging people to do something nice for someone, anything at all. It sounds simple, but we don't do it nearly enough. I just got back from a concert and my friend asked me to pick up a cd for her. I had the artist autograph it to my friend. She'll be surprised! Thanks!
