a special RAK this weekend!
as the year is quickly coming to an end, i am filled with a sense of reflection. i can SEE THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL - well until the next tradeshow that is.
this has been quite an *amazing* year for us here at maya road. we were blessed with 2 bundles of joy (noah and jonathan) and such growth for MR that i would have never imagined! seriously, when we set out on this adventure a couple of years ago, i would not have expected us to be where we are today. every time i think about it, it takes my breath away. (i do have to say the boys edge MR for the top events of 2006!)
i am excited for the upcoming weeks as we are taking our babies to china to see my grandma and there is a big family reunion happening on my mom's side of the family. we all have not been together in many many years (probably 10) and now there is another generation for everyone to meet and to love. i can't wait (i can wait on the 20 hour plane right with a 7 month old though). the thought of my grandmother seeing her 3 great grandbabies for the first time fills my eyes with tears. she isn't in the best of health after a stroke this year. even speaking to her on the phone, i can tell she has so much she WANTS to say but the stroke has slowed what she can get out...i can only hope that she will have many years to come to see her great grandbabies.
and so to celebrate this amazing year, i want to give out this RAK - this is a JOY album i made for scrapbook essentials NZ for their kit club debut. but rather than hoard this book for myself, i want to GIVE this to one lucky RAK winner. the book is filled with 3 tabbed pages that are decorated for you to record the memories of this season.
i created this book using our Maya Road 6" binder, ribbons and chipboards and some cool papers. and i want to give this to one lucky person and i hope that it fills them with joy this holiday season!
so to win, just post here and let me know what fills YOU with joy. post between now and monday and my boyz will pick a winner - please don't post anon or i can't find you!
good luck!

I just love this book, it is truley amazing....What fills me with joy is the absolute un-conditnal love that i have for my 10 month old baby boy and the joy that i feel when i see him achieving his mile stones and looking at me with such glee and him being so proud of himself...another thing that fills me with joy is the love for my best friend, soul mate and the love of my life who is soon in 3 weeks going to become my husband...
What a beautiful album Caroline!!! There are so many things, big and small, that fill me with joy! The obvious ones are my husband and two boys. I can't forget about my furry kids either. The fact that I am a wife and mother, I am creative, I am musical...all these bring me joy.
I love your album! There are so many things that give me great joy. I love giving and receiving hugs and smiles, my family and friends, runnnig around those doors that turn in circles, and being in pictures.
Have a safe trip to China! Such a long way to travel. What fills me with joy is to be with my family and friends knowing that they are in good health and for the short moment we wil be togehter they we all forget our worries and troubles! That for me is the most wonderful time in life and makes me feel joyous!
Seeing the delight on m children's faces as they experience the many aspects of Christmas always brings joy to my life.
Caroline,I'm glad that you will be able to see all your family this Christmas. My family is what brings me joy. I love to give to them at Christmas amd just to see my parents with their grandchildren is awesome!
Have a safe trip!
This album is great Caroline!! JOY is of course my three babies - two of whom are really into Christmas this year. But also the little things that come with this time of year - simply seeing friends and family, getting Christmas cards in the mail, or a homemade gift from a friend, cookie exchanges, pulling out ornaments that all have a special meaning...love it all!!
Hope you have a great trip and I'm sure baby Noah will do great!

beautiful album! have a wonderful time with your reunion and a safe plane trip. joy - my family and friends and the little things that happen each day to remind me how lucky I am to have what I have
JOy probably only begins to describe what you are feeling, have a wondwerful fun and safe trip, and I'm sure Noah will be a champ on the trip, and I bet your Grandmother could find a home for some of those 10 inches of LO at your house :). While it is a beautiful book there is no need to put me in for the RAK let someone else win.
Oh, your book is amazing! The one thing that fills me with JOY is seeing my two little girls faces light up on Christmas morning. Have a safe and happy trip!
caroline i am so thrilled for you and your MR success. i remember talking to david at the first show when you had just a tiny table in the "new" section. my how you have grown! couldn't have happened to nicer people. truly.
today. right now. my little girl zoe brings me joy. she seems to know that she came to this earth with a purpose and i am so grateful for her.
safe travels my friend.
WOW! you are going to have such an amazing time in China! i know you'll take a zillion pictures of all those special moments :D when i wake up in the morning and hear the pitter patter of my children's footsteps that is joy...and knowing that all of have comes from the creator...such joy!
It brings me joy to watch my kids play in the snow, to see them growing in their relationships with each other, and to know that we are doing our very best with them. It brings me joy to know that my marriage is solid and to share an incredible friendship with my husband. It brings me great joy to know that I have been blessed beyond measure by a loving God. I hope you have an incredible Christmas, Caroline. That little Noah will be flinging joy all over China!!
I get so much joy out of watching my kids grow and learn. I alos get so much joy out of sitting down to a wonderfully cooked dinner with the whole family. It also sends me warm and fuzzy when my daughter says "i love you mum-mum". Its the simple things, right?
I love how this book has come up Caroline! The papers can be used in a not so christmassy way too. Thos binder books are a great invention of yours too... unbelieveable...
Enjoy the festive season and the new year to come!

Have a wonderful time in China!! One of the things that really fills me with joy are when my twin boys, who are speech delayed, hit their letters or words that they are trying so hard to get. My oldest had his language come so easily but these two are struggling a bit more. I get so excited when I hear things that I haven't heard before. Oh course, with three boys this is just one of MANY things that bring me great joy!
Have an awesome trip!
That book is gorgeous!!! My joy today was going out and cutting down Christmas trees with our family. So cute to see all our neices playing in the trees.
It is such a gorgeous book. My son, Riley (3.5 yrs old), & my husband both fill my heart with so much joy. Riley's constant wonder, laughter & amazement always fill me with soooo much love & joy more everyday. The wonderful father that my husband has become is always a joyful thing to see.
Beautiful book, Caroline!
I try to find joy in everything - it makes life seem so much more rewarding then, don't you think?
what brings me joy:
*generous SB companies
*cuddling by a cozy fire
*lit cmas tree with a bunch of ornaments
*big, fuzzy socks
*time with family and friends
*gingerbread and chai tea lattes from bucks
*giving

The book is amazing, love how you did the joy!
Have a great time in China! We are expecting relatives from Japan during the Christmas holidays...we haven't celebrated the holidays with other family members for about 10 years! So I know this is something GREAT to look forward to! Happy Holidays to you!! MargieH in Chicago
My family is my biggest joy - they make me happy!!
coming home afterwork knowing i get to spend the rest of the evening with my two boys, Austin and Sean...watching them play ball and taking them places and of course snuggling up before bed! and once they are asleep my 2nd joy is designing...they both bring such joy and a since of passion for life...when it's all said and don the simple things is what matters most! hope you guys have a great holiday season!
Caroline - I can only imagine how exciting it must be to visit you grandmother and show off the new bundles of joy you have your sister have, that is pure joy!!
For me my Joy is one I would have never imagined a few years back. We moved to the country and then started our miniature donkey ranch just over 3 years ago, and now I cannot dream of a day without a donkey hug! When down, feeling bad or just need a moment to focus - a donkey hug makes me smile and gives me peace. I love my babies and the joy they have given me and my DH.
i love your album, it would make a great addition to my collection :) hee hee. the things that fill me with joy are my 3 healthy kids, my strong, handsome hubby and knowing that everything will always turn out ok no matter what.
Liz
For me the joy comes daily from my partner and all the things he does for me, i really wonder sometimes "how did i get so lucky to spend my life with him"
China will be great for you all, so much Joy for you all :-)
thanks for the opportunity to play
How awesome! The thing that fills me with joy is being around wonderful, caring people all year long!
LOTS of things fill me with JOY....but the 1st thing that came to mind today is the Cinnamon Coffee I'm sipping on! MMmmm....Deliciously JOYFUL!! :)
what a beautiful journal...whoever receives it will be a very lucky person!
the little things about this season are what bring me the most joy...the first snow, snowmen, making hot choclate and building a fire on a frosty day, watching "A Christmas Story" over and over again on Christmas eve...these things make me remember that the holidays are not about the presents...they're about family and building wonderful memories together. Happy Holidays to you Caroline!
all i can say is WOW! this is beautiful, what a great idea! we have so much to be Thanful for!

Mine would be to see the boys spending time with their granddad in Singapore. He misses them so much and I wish we were living nearer (we're in the UK) for him to see the boys often as he's getting older. If it weren't for the 13 hr flight and the double price flight fare at this time of the year, I would have booked a flight home!!!
That book is gorgeous!
What a beautiful book! My joy would have to be my family! My miracle daughter that took us more then 5 years to conceive and several weeks in NICU to bring her home almost 4 years ago. My wonderful supportive husband, who is always there for me. My fabulous father and his brave wife who has been battling cancer for the past 5+ years. She is starting to lose that battle now, but her bravery and her ability to fight give me strength. Each day that she survives gives us all joy. I can not imagine joy in my life without my family!
Joy is........
watching my kids wrap christmas presents together and not fighting while they are doing it!
taking a steamy hot bath
knowing that my kids have everything they need. (Food, Warm beds to sleep in, Love)
My Mountain Dew!
Have a wonderful holiday and a FABULOUS visit with your family, Caroline. I will be keeping my fingers crossed that the flight goes well with Noah.
I have to put my name in for a chance for this one. Your work is beautiful.
What brings me Joy -- When my kids say "Mommy, I love you" -- it makes everything perfect and my heart just melts.

My heart is filled with joy when I think of how lucky I am to have my boyfriend Shawn in my life. He has helped me through a difficult year and just thinking about him makes me happy.
My girls are a Joy everyday!!!
my healthy baby boy gives me much joy! :)
wow! There are tons of great JOYFUL comments here!! What is filling me with Joy right now is this little peanut in my tummy! I can't wait to feel it moving and to meet it! So many new things to think about and dream about.
What brings me joy today? Visiting a dear friend who has just had her first child. A child who has been a long time coming. To see her joy as she just stared and stared at his little face and totally forget that there was anything else. All the tears and disappointments had been washed away. To see someone falling in love with their child completely. These are the moments that make the world stop and return your faith in life, bring you joy. I felt very honoured to be able to watch such a moment.
Seeing my little girl smile at me for the first time - melts my heart and makes the last 6 weeks of sleepless nights worth it - that's joy to me right now!
Beautiful album! I love the colors you used!
And I hope you have an amazing time in China - what a wonderful trip it will be! Praying that the flight goes well for everyone!
What fills me with JOY - all the creativity I have in order to make GREAT gifts for everyone I know. We live on a limited pension budget and so making is a necessity but I LOVE MAKING!!!
Greatest joy is having them LOVE the gifts!!!
THANKS for your GREAT blog!!!
