a special RAK this weekend!

as the year is quickly coming to an end, i am filled with a sense of reflection. i can SEE THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL - well until the next tradeshow that is.

this has been quite an *amazing* year for us here at maya road. we were blessed with 2 bundles of joy (noah and jonathan) and such growth for MR that i would have never imagined! seriously, when we set out on this adventure a couple of years ago, i would not have expected us to be where we are today. every time i think about it, it takes my breath away. (i do have to say the boys edge MR for the top events of 2006!)

i am excited for the upcoming weeks as we are taking our babies to china to see my grandma and there is a big family reunion happening on my mom's side of the family. we all have not been together in many many years (probably 10) and now there is another generation for everyone to meet and to love. i can't wait (i can wait on the 20 hour plane right with a 7 month old though). the thought of my grandmother seeing her 3 great grandbabies for the first time fills my eyes with tears. she isn't in the best of health after a stroke this year. even speaking to her on the phone, i can tell she has so much she WANTS to say but the stroke has slowed what she can get out...i can only hope that she will have many years to come to see her great grandbabies.

and so to celebrate this amazing year, i want to give out this RAK - this is a JOY album i made for scrapbook essentials NZ for their kit club debut. but rather than hoard this book for myself, i want to GIVE this to one lucky RAK winner. the book is filled with 3 tabbed pages that are decorated for you to record the memories of this season.

i created this book using our Maya Road 6" binder, ribbons and chipboards and some cool papers. and i want to give this to one lucky person and i hope that it fills them with joy this holiday season!

so to win, just post here and let me know what fills YOU with joy. post between now and monday and my boyz will pick a winner - please don't post anon or i can't find you!

good luck!

What a beautiful album Caroline!!! There are so many things, big and small, that fill me with joy! The obvious ones are my husband and two boys. I can't forget about my furry kids either. The fact that I am a wife and mother, I am creative, I am musical...all these bring me joy.

This album is great Caroline!! JOY is of course my three babies - two of whom are really into Christmas this year. But also the little things that come with this time of year - simply seeing friends and family, getting Christmas cards in the mail, or a homemade gift from a friend, cookie exchanges, pulling out ornaments that all have a special meaning...love it all!!
Hope you have a great trip and I'm sure baby Noah will do great!

JOy probably only begins to describe what you are feeling, have a wondwerful fun and safe trip, and I'm sure Noah will be a champ on the trip, and I bet your Grandmother could find a home for some of those 10 inches of LO at your house :). While it is a beautiful book there is no need to put me in for the RAK let someone else win.

It brings me joy to watch my kids play in the snow, to see them growing in their relationships with each other, and to know that we are doing our very best with them. It brings me joy to know that my marriage is solid and to share an incredible friendship with my husband. It brings me great joy to know that I have been blessed beyond measure by a loving God. I hope you have an incredible Christmas, Caroline. That little Noah will be flinging joy all over China!!

I get so much joy out of watching my kids grow and learn. I alos get so much joy out of sitting down to a wonderfully cooked dinner with the whole family. It also sends me warm and fuzzy when my daughter says "i love you mum-mum". Its the simple things, right?

I love how this book has come up Caroline! The papers can be used in a not so christmassy way too. Thos binder books are a great invention of yours too... unbelieveable...

Enjoy the festive season and the new year to come!

Have a wonderful time in China!! One of the things that really fills me with joy are when my twin boys, who are speech delayed, hit their letters or words that they are trying so hard to get. My oldest had his language come so easily but these two are struggling a bit more. I get so excited when I hear things that I haven't heard before. Oh course, with three boys this is just one of MANY things that bring me great joy!

Caroline - I can only imagine how exciting it must be to visit you grandmother and show off the new bundles of joy you have your sister have, that is pure joy!!

For me my Joy is one I would have never imagined a few years back. We moved to the country and then started our miniature donkey ranch just over 3 years ago, and now I cannot dream of a day without a donkey hug! When down, feeling bad or just need a moment to focus - a donkey hug makes me smile and gives me peace. I love my babies and the joy they have given me and my DH.

what a beautiful journal...whoever receives it will be a very lucky person!

the little things about this season are what bring me the most joy...the first snow, snowmen, making hot choclate and building a fire on a frosty day, watching "A Christmas Story" over and over again on Christmas eve...these things make me remember that the holidays are not about the presents...they're about family and building wonderful memories together. Happy Holidays to you Caroline!

Mine would be to see the boys spending time with their granddad in Singapore. He misses them so much and I wish we were living nearer (we're in the UK) for him to see the boys often as he's getting older. If it weren't for the 13 hr flight and the double price flight fare at this time of the year, I would have booked a flight home!!!

That book is gorgeous!

What a beautiful book! My joy would have to be my family! My miracle daughter that took us more then 5 years to conceive and several weeks in NICU to bring her home almost 4 years ago. My wonderful supportive husband, who is always there for me. My fabulous father and his brave wife who has been battling cancer for the past 5+ years. She is starting to lose that battle now, but her bravery and her ability to fight give me strength. Each day that she survives gives us all joy. I can not imagine joy in my life without my family!

What brings me joy today? Visiting a dear friend who has just had her first child. A child who has been a long time coming. To see her joy as she just stared and stared at his little face and totally forget that there was anything else. All the tears and disappointments had been washed away. To see someone falling in love with their child completely. These are the moments that make the world stop and return your faith in life, bring you joy. I felt very honoured to be able to watch such a moment.
