a RAK and noah's typical day with the MR family...

so i posted a couple of days ago about what i have to do for MR daily. here is what baby noah's schedule looks like:

get up, eat, get air in the tummy, cry, burp, poop, diaper change, play, laugh, look cute, nap. repeat 7x a day. charm everyone with your giggles and laughter. add in a bath and a bit of grumpiness before bedtime. you are done. LOL.

now for the RAK, see below:

i decided to kick it old skool this time with some things that i LOVE from our original lines and lines up til the MT show from last year. these are classics that i use a lot of - including this most coveted coffee break album - that ali edwards used in the sept CK. i saw that article while enjoying a date with my DH over my starbucks. i screamed a bit when i saw the article. LOL. but ali did something amazing with our coffee break book and now, here is a blank one for you to create with...

all you need to do to enter is post here between now and sunday and just tell me what you want to see MR come up with next - what would be your dream MR product? different ribbons? more chippies? would you ever want to see us venture into papers? deb and i want to know. we do listen to our customers! just don't post anon so i can find ya!

have a great weekend!

Coveted is right!! And I would have screamed too if I was you after seeing that article!! :)

As for "Dream MR Products" I cannot wait to see the rubons in person!! (call me a rubon hoar LOL). But if I had to come up with something NEW...I think you would rock at some metal embellies. or *gasp* stamps! Basically, you guys could rock any product! LOL

I like everything. but for a new product I think: stamps. they can you use so many times in different ways. or paper, i love paper. but the best think would be: bring everything to the netherlands!! a lot of stuff will be new here. and it looks great.

good luck!

Personally i wouldn't like to see MR go into the paper side of the business as I feel it would detract from the great products you have now.
A continuation of your chipboard products, especially the 'off the page' ones (along similar lines to your binders and the coffee break album) I think would be good as they appear to be top quality items that have had a lot of thought behind them, but provide papercrafters a unique opportunity to work with something 'a little bit different'.
More ribbons are always good, but some more 'masculine' themed printed ribbons would be nice.
I haven't yet seen the MR foam stamps, but perhaps some clear acrylic stamps would be a good addition to your range, perhaps to compliment your chipboard releases? (to fit inside or help decorate some of your chipboard shapes). Unmounted acrylic stamps are good because they lower te cost of shipping (and hence the product), they are easy to store (especially if kept in a MR styled tin!)and if you want to have permanently mounted stamps, you can mount them.

As an Australian, your products can sometimes be a bit more costly than your competitors, but the quality and the 'edge' you give with your products far outways the dollars difference.

Take care,
Tamara :)

I love all your stuff, as far as new stuff what about selling your chip tins empty, they would be cute for little albums, or maybe some Holiday chipboard, Star, Tree books or spiderweb chipboard pieces???

More chipboards in different shapes would be awesome. I just used some of the chipboard I got from you guys at cha on a layout last night and its awesome. Maybe holiday shaped chipboard, or a christmas tree shaped book.

I cannot believe how much Noah has grown!!! What a cutie!!

Maya+paper=noper.
New product to come up with? Take the chippie to a new level with dressforms; flat, on stands, whatever. Chipboard printer's drawers. And continue making books-in theme shapes for the holidays.

Your son is too cute!

I'm not very creative when it comes to thinking up ideas like product lines! The things I like right now are kits. I like to buy stuff that is all coordinated and ready to use. I hate trying to match paper and ribbons so I tend to buy things that are already done for me. I'm not sure that's the direction you should go; I'm just saying that's what I personally like. But I love all your albums and I will confess that I didn't know you had ribbons till just now. I think I'll be doing some shopping tonight :-)

Okay, because I love the pattern on the ribbons, I think those would translate well into papers, right????? I also love the shaped chipboard books - could we have more, please?????
thanks for offering the RAK. Have a great weekend.

How about some bling in different shapes and formats (like ribbon charms, brads, etc)?

I would LOVE to see mini chipboard stuff...especially alphabets in unique fonts. I would also LOVE...mini chipboard flowers, brackets, unique edged borders etc...that would be great for use on cards or smaller scrapbooks. I'm working on one of your chipboard books & NEEEEED these things!
Thanks for the wonderful products & presentation.

I think your embellishment really stand out from amongst your competitors. I think that's your nitch. Perhaps new items along the line of your tins but perhaps in varying designs and thicknesses (thinner for page designs). Maybe like an optional open and closed faced locket type tin. The ribbons are best in class. For the men out there, perhaps earth tones like deep clay, cooper, deep hunter green, etc. I haven't work with the books yet but can't wait to start a project in that area. Thanks for all the freebies I get so I really can't in good conscience put in for this RAK.

Love the little daily write-up on what Noah does! Too cute!!!! He is getting so big already! I'm so glad he brings such joy to your lives! Makes me so excited for mine to arrive!

As for dream MR product, I would love to see you guys do more rub-ons. I am SOOOOO excited about the ones you have coming out, can't wait to get my hands on those! But I think it would be really cool if you had matching rub-ons for your chipboard. And I know you have some alpha chipboard coming but I would love to see more - can't get enough of anything to do with alphas!

And that coffee break album - oh my gosh, I want one! They are so freakin' cool! I loved it before I saw Ali's article and now I love it even more, if that's possible! ;)

I'm so curious to see what your creative minds have in store!

I would love to see rub-ons- of course packaged in your aignature tins! And colored rub-ons would be awesome! I am thinking rub-ons that I could fully cover your sheer blossoms, and chipboard blossoms with.

Also rub-on "covers" for your chipboard alphas. So I can cover the alphas without having to paint them! I don't want to drag my paint out everytime!

I would love some florals- but textured and decorative handmade paper ones. I think Asia has such a wealth of handmade papera.. would love to see you start using them in embellishment

I love all the work you made till this far. More will maybe to much for us we have to buy it all!!! LOL
Maybe some florals Rubons and papers we like or tiny papers for the litlle books we like.

Have a nice weekend

Okay - first of all, Noah is looking soooo cute!!! And sooo much like a little boy!!! Too sweet.

Okay - "dream" products:
rub-ons
clear stamps
cardstock - something different here - textured; patterned; I don't know.... I am tired of just plain cardstock for a base and then having to use pp for the punch. It would be nice if the cardstock itself could punch! KNWIM?!!

I'm sure I would be excited with any new products the two of you come up with, but my *dream* products from MR would be-
*stamps
*more chipboard - love the idea someone else left of alphas!
*rubons

Don't think I would go the route of paper, but think a lot could be added in these type of lines.
And thanks for the opportunity on the RAK!!!

I just love seeing how much more adorable Noah gets every day. Love the routine!

As for something new..

I love your foam stamps! But they are hard to find. More of them would be great. Ditto on the metal embellishments, that is what I originally fell in love with in the MayaRoad line, then found everything and turned into a MR junkie... I pimp it out to everyone I meet. No really I do - I give MR as my class prize drawings and as gifts for family and friends (unused for those that scrap and I do something for those that don't)

As for new chipboard - well girlie yal just rock at every line you have brought out. I would love to see a grouping of frames. I mean real sizes 3x5, 4x6, 5x7. Maybe with stands on the back or magnets for the fridge to be altered in a million ways. That would be fantastic!

By the way I screamed when I saw the Ali article too! I am just so proud to watch yals company grow and grow each month!

Anything you choose will be awesome.

Wanted to add - rather than doing your own paper, what about working with Bazzil to get MR colors, like other companies have?

would love to see some KITS...all packaged up in your 'signature' tins...a few rubons, ribbon, chipboard, a board book etc etc - you could have all different themes.
Oh and an IDEA book showcasing all your gorgeous products...would definately be a winner

another aussie fan of MR

The boardbook is fun! I LOVE LOVE them! It was the reason why I fell in love with mini albums. (I know I'm a bit late on that band wagon.)

I love what all the other ladies have suggested and think Heather B has a good suggestion on working with Bazzil to get cordinating colors to what MR creates.

My other suggestion would be to have cool eyelets and brads to match the metal slides and of course come in those amazing tins. I am not saying funky shaped one, but if they were metal that might work too, but the basic round or square that had edging or engravings on them like the ribbon slides.
